This little village in the Ore Mountains near the German border, Horní Blatná has one of the best-preserved historic town centres in the range, protected as an urban monument zone. The settlement's history is rooted in tin mining, and it sits within the Ore Mountain Mining Region UNESCO World Heritage Site. Several historic churches stand in the village, and the surrounding mountain terrain offers scenic viewpoints.
