Known across Japan as "the rugby town," Higashiōsaka is a large city in Osaka Prefecture home to Hanazono Rugby Stadium, one of the country's most celebrated rugby venues. The city is also widely recognised for its concentration of skilled modest manufacturing businesses. Its eastern edge borders the Ikoma Mountains and Nara Prefecture, placing it within reach of the wider region's UNESCO World Heritage sites.
