Hennef (Sieg)
Germany
A town on the river Sieg in North Rhine-Westphalia, Hennef is known as the "Town of a Hundred Villages" for its sprawling collection of settlements across hilly terrain. The medieval walled town of Stadt Blankenberg lies within its boundaries, as does the 15th-century Schloss Allner beside the Allner See. The wider region is ringed by UNESCO World Heritage sites, and the Sieg valley offers scenic viewpoints and walking country alongside a walkable centre with cafés and restaurants.
