Helensville

This small town on the tidal Kaipara River in New Zealand's Auckland Region, Helensville sits near the southern end of the expansive Kaipara Harbour, a short drive northwest of Auckland. First established as a kauri logging settlement in 1862, it grew into a regional centre for the south Kaipara and later a hub for the dairy industry. The nearby settlement of Parakai has a natural thermal aquatic centre and a skydiving airfield.
