Historic town in upper Hunza, Gilgit-Baltistan, Gulmit served as the capital of the Mir of Hunza and remains the administrative centre of the Gojal region. Surrounded by mountains, peaks, and glaciers, it has a small central core with cafés, restaurants, hotels, and a museum. Summers are pleasant, with spring and autumn bringing cooler conditions.
