Sitting on the eastern shore of the Paraná River in Argentina's Corrientes province, Goya is a riverside town and the second most populous city in the province. It hosts the annual National Festival of the Surubí, centred on an internationally known fishing contest celebrating the surubí, a large catfish native to the Paraná.
