Gjakova
Kosovo
A city in western Kosovo with a walkable historic centre built around the Çarshia e Madhe — the old bazaar that once made Gjakova one of the leading commercial hubs in the Balkans during the Ottoman period. The Hadum Mosque and its library, dating to the city's founding, anchor the historic Hadum Quarter. The centre has a dense café and restaurant scene, and the surrounding mountains are close at hand.
