Flims
Switzerland
A mountain village in the Swiss canton of Graubünden, Flims sits at elevation on the main road through the Imboden region, with the rocky face of the Flimserstein visible from almost anywhere in the area. The village divides into Flims Dorf and Flims Waldhaus, the latter a historic hotel district that grew up around 1900 as the area's first tourism hub. An unusually dense café and restaurant scene for a settlement this size makes it a practical base for exploring the surrounding peaks and viewpoints.
