Tiny Carinthian town in mountain terrain with vineyards nearby and water close at hand, Feldkirchen in Kärnten has an unusually lively café and restaurant scene for its size and a striking number of churches. First documented around 1065–66, it received market rights before 1176 and serves today as the administrative seat of its district in the Austrian state of Carinthia.
