This highland town in Karaman Province, Türkiye, set on the banks of the Göksu River and home to the Maraspoli cave, one of the world's significant cave systems. Known in antiquity as Germanicopolis, Ermenek served as the capital of the Karamanogullari principality before passing through Ottoman administration. The town sits high above sea level in mountainous terrain, with the river and surrounding landscape close at hand.
