El Limón

Venezuela

This city in Venezuela's Aragua state sitting at the foot of Henri Pittier National Park, with the El Limón River running through it. Once a colonial-era sugar-cane centre, it grew substantially through industrialization in the latter half of the twentieth century. The annual San Sebastián's Walk starts here and crosses Henri Pittier National Park to reach Ocumare de la Costa, some 42 km away — the route's most notable draw for visitors passing through.
