A small former fishing port on the west side of Sheephaven Bay in County Donegal, Dunfanaghy punches above its size with a genuine cluster of cafés and restaurants and direct access to sheltered beaches on Ireland's north coast. The surrounding area sits within a Gaeltacht region where Irish remains widely spoken, and the Donegal mountains are close by.
