Iran's first ski resort to receive International Ski Federation recognition, Dizin sits high in the Alborz mountains north of Tehran, with a season running from December to May. Its highest lift reaches well above 3,000 metres, placing it among the world's highest ski resorts. Established in the 1960s, it draws weekend crowds from the capital and has a reputation as one of the more socially relaxed public spaces in the country.
