This little town in southeastern Serbia's upper Nišava valley, Dimitrovgrad sits along the river with a central core of cafés and restaurants and mountain terrain close by. Historically known as Caribrod, it lies near the Bulgarian border and has a notable Bulgarian population alongside its Serbian community, giving it a cross-border character unusual for a town of its size.
