A small village in Lazio's wine-growing Rieti province, Contigliano sits close to the mountains and near water, with scenic surroundings and a strong photographic appeal. The village holds several historic churches for its size, including the church of San Michele Arcangelo, Sant'Antonio, San Lorenzo, and the Abbey of San Pastore.
