Chatham
United States
This photogenic Cape Cod village at the water's edge, Chatham, Massachusetts, has a café and restaurant scene that outpunches its little size, along with several historic churches. Its landmark lighthouse — known as Twin Lights before 1923 — dates to an original 1808 station near the shore, rebuilt twice over the following decades; one of its two cast-iron towers was relocated to Eastham in 1923, where it became Nauset Light.
