Český Krumlov
Český Krumlov fills a horseshoe meander of the Vltava in the Bohemian Forest foothills, with the old town inside the bend and the Latrán quarter and castle complex across the river. Its historic centre has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992 for its Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture. The castle, seat of the Rosenbergs and later the Eggenbergs and Schwarzenbergs, keeps a Baroque theatre built in 1680–1682, and the painter Egon Schiele, who lived in the town, has an art centre in his name. It is among the most visited places in Czechia.
