Capilla del Monte
Punilla · Argentina
Founded in 1585 at the foot of Cerro Uritorco in Córdoba province's Punilla Valley, Capilla del Monte is a pocket-sized Argentine town whose main draw is that mountain — famed across Argentina for alleged paranormal activity and UFO sightings. The El Cajón Dam and its reservoir add a waterside dimension, and the town supports a café and restaurant scene that holds a surprising number of options for its size. Rally Argentina has used the surrounding roads as a special stage.
