Campodolcino
Sondrio · Italy
Mountain village in Lombardy's Val San Giacomo, Campodolcino sits on the road linking Chiavenna to the Spluga Pass and the Swiss border. Several historic churches serve a settlement of a few hundred to a few thousand residents, and the village holds a little but real café and restaurant scene for its size. The wider region is ringed by UNESCO World Heritage sites, and the surrounding alpine terrain makes it a base for those passing through or exploring the valley.
