Buôn Ma Thuột
Dak Lak · Vietnam
Vietnam's coffee capital, Buôn Ma Thuột is the largest city in the Central Highlands of Đắk Lắk Province, with a walkable centre dense with cafés rooted in the region's coffee-growing culture. The French established it as a provincial capital in 1904, and it has since grown into the administrative and cultural hub of the highlands. The surrounding terrain rises into mountain country, and the city carries a significant history from both the French and American resistance wars.
