Bram
Aude · France
Sitting on the Canal du Midi between Castelnaudary and Carcassonne, Bram is a tiny town in the Aude department of southern France's Occitanie region, with rail connections to Toulouse, Carcassonne, and Narbonne. Part of the historic Lauragais — once called the granary of Languedoc and linked to the cultivation of woad — it earned the Petites Cités de Caractère label in July 2023. The wider region holds UNESCO World Heritage sites, and the Pyrenees are visible on clear days.
