Boissevain

This small Manitoba community near the North Dakota border, Boissevain is best known as the gateway to the International Peace Garden, a short drive south on Highway 10, and for its proximity to Turtle Mountain Provincial Park. The town's outsized icon is Tommy the Turtle, a 28-foot western painted turtle sculpture tied to the former International Turtle Derby held here each summer. A collection of outdoor wall murals adds another layer of local character.
