Blessington
Ireland
Russborough House, an 18th-century estate with a rich art collection, sits just outside this modest County Wicklow town on the edge of the Wicklow mountains. Blessington itself lies along the Poulaphuca Reservoir on the River Liffey, with cafés and restaurants in its compact centre. The town once marked the boundary of the medieval Pale, and a tram line ran here from Dublin from 1888 until 1932.
