Bhamo

Town in northern Myanmar's Kachin State with a concentration of historic churches in its centre, Bhamo sits on the Ayeyarwady River within sight of surrounding hills and close to the border with China's Yunnan Province. Its population is largely of Chinese and Shan descent, with Kachin communities in the hills beyond.
