Bazas, a small town in Gironde in southwestern France, was an episcopal seat until the French Revolution and retains a substantial collection of medieval monuments, with the Cathedral of Saint-Jean-Baptiste as its centrepiece. The historic core holds cafés and restaurants, and the surrounding area offers scenic viewpoints.
