This compact fishing village on the Caribbean coast of the Dominican Republic's La Altagracia province, Bayahibe sits right at the water with a café and restaurant scene that punches above its size. Founded in 1874 by Juan Brito and his family, originally from Puerto Rico, it sits south of San Rafael del Yuma with mountains visible from the shore.
