Little Oregon coastal town at the mouth of the Coquille River, Bandon draws visitors for its waterfront setting and regularly photographed scenery, with a compact central core of cafés and restaurants. It was named in 1873 by Irish settler George Bennet after his hometown of Bandon in Ireland.
