A pocket-sized inland town in Valencia's Valle de Ayora comarca, set among vineyards and bordered by the rivers Cabriel and Júcar, with mountain ranges on either side of the valley. Ayora Castle, the Parish Church of Our Lady of the Ascension, the Iberian site of Castellar de Meca, cave paintings at Cueva de La Vieja, and the Cave of Don Juan give the town and its surroundings a varied heritage trail to follow.
