A pocket-sized ski and mountain village on the edge of the Vanoise National Park — France's first — in the Savoie department of the Alps, Aussois draws winter skiers and summer walkers alike, with scenic viewpoints across the massif and a handful of cafés and historic churches for a village its size. Well connected by road and rail via nearby Modane, it is also reachable from Turin through the Fréjus Road Tunnel.
