Arquata del Tronto

The only municipality in Europe contained within two national parks — the Monti Sibillini to the north and Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga to the south — this pocket-sized village in the Marche region of Ascoli Piceno sits along the Tronto river and is overlooked by a historic medieval fortress. It borders three Italian regions (Lazio, Umbria, and Abruzzo), and vineyards surround the immediate area.
