Andújar
Jaén · Spain
Andújar, a town in Jaén province on the Guadalquivir River in Andalusia, was once widely known for its alcarrazas — porous earthenware jars made from local whitish clay that keep water cool in hot weather. The Sierra de Andújar Natural Park occupies the northern part of the municipality, while agricultural countryside spreads to the south. Several UNESCO World Heritage sites lie within the wider region.
