Amizmiz
Morocco
This Berber market town at the foot of the High Atlas mountains, a short drive south of Marrakesh, Amizmiz draws its identity from a Tuesday souk that serves as a trading hub for farmers and villagers from the surrounding hills, who bring produce and livestock to exchange for goods from the city. The town's population is predominantly Shilha-speaking Berber, and it sits close to UNESCO World Heritage sites in the wider region.
