Acquaviva delle Fonti, a town on the Murge plateau in Apulia's Bari metropolitan area, is known across the region for its red onions, which carry DOP protected-origin status and a Slow Food Presidio designation. The walkable centre holds several historic churches, including the Co-Cathedral of Sant'Eustachio, alongside the Palazzo de Mari, now the town hall. The surrounding plateau landscape puts the Adriatic coast within easy reach.
